We asked our graphics students to select quotes from specific BBC R4 History of the World in 100 Objects podcasts and then generate typographic responses. Lots of great work submitted again, so well done to all!! — Here’s a few highlights (in order of appearance): Zahra Warsame played with typographic hierarchy to echo the quiet power of the Roman female owner of a ornate pepper pot. Katherine Chisnall also focused on the Hoxne pepper pot but emphasised its status as a ‘bit of kitsch for the rich’.  Stephanie Suddell’s subject was the Victorian tea set and its Imperial context. Demetri Gerolemou’s object was one of the earliest surviving examples of the written word — a clay tablet from Mesopotamia used for administration purposes.
