In the past two weeks the Y1 students have been working on the Photography Brief. Each student was able to decide on a subject based around an Object, Place or Scenario. Each fellow student in their group had to make an image responding to this subject.  In other words this brief was partly self-initiated by each student. This lead to subjects ranging from the direct, as shoes, water, street lights and body-part, to the abstract as freedom in chains, ghost town, destructed innocence and Winchester charm.

With only 10 days for each student to complete their list of 28 images, they had to think quick and overcome any hurdles to accomplish the assignment. The deadline was important as the end of this assignment would be an exhibition of all the images in the Winchester Gallery.

The exhibition opening was a great evening showing over 3000 images. Congratulations to all the students of Y1.

The show will be on until Friday the 18th of November at the Winchester Gallery, Winchester School of Art.
