A busy week for our Photography Students. Starting with a one day intensive workshop in Advanced Lighting, exploring the various ways in how light can be shaped, all whilst shooting tethered with our Hasselblad H3D and Canon 5dMIIs . After this induction they had 3 days to produce a single still life image based on the following approaches: “Vanitas / Momento Mori”, “Modernism / Avant Garde”, “Conceptual / Contemporary” or “Advertising / Industrial”. What follows are some of the results.
The next stage of the assignment is to create a studio still life triptych, using the gained skills and experience from the workshopweek. Their time will be less pressurized, giving them a chance to create a near perfect image. Will report back when these results come in!
